As part of its gap funding response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Minneapolis is offering forgivable, no-interest loans for eligible small businesses and self-employed workers impacted by the pandemic.
Eligible borrowers must be located in certain parts of the city and have had either 20 or fewer employees or $1 million or less in annual revenue. Loans will be available for $5,000 or $10,000, have deferred payments for 12 months, and be 100% forgivable if the business continues to operate in Minneapolis in good regulatory standing.
Applications are due by MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2020, 12:00 pm. Applications submitted after that point will not be considered. If applications exceed the funding available, the City will select loan recipients using a lottery system.
